Lode Group (formerly KMA) was founded in 2008 in the UK by Phil Melling supplying carry bags for defence suppliers. The company has since grown its remit and sectors and with 2 operations offices, it exports to 8 different countries around the world.
Lode Group is established as a reliable designer and supplier of bespoke protective carrying bags, rucksacks and subcomponents, as well as technical and standard workwear - either off-the-shelf products or as a bespoke product package solution. These products are cobined with unbeatable logistics arrangements that we develop to allow our customers to operate efficiently and thrive. Our operations span 10 different countries and we have just opened a sales and operations office in the Far East.
We focus strongly on customer satisfaction through quality and investment in innovation which deliver flexibility and advantage in your market sectors as well as protection for your teams and equipment. This is evidenced in our highly successful and innovative Rip-ClipTM quick release system for safety rucksacks and our patented Cut-To-Fit® leg length adjustment system for clothing.
We have 2 main activities in the business;
Bespoke product delivery, as a tier 2 supplier of bespoke carrying and protective products to equipment manufacturers around the world, including textile / plastic sub-components closely tailored for best design, value and performance. All this in tandem with a bespoke logistics that track and fulfil demand patterns and ensures security of supply.
The second arm of the business is off-the-shelf workwear including specialist hi-vis and technical FR, anti-static, arc flash and welding coveralls – under the LODEWORK banner. Plus a range of work bags and rucksacks available from stock. Our Hi-Vis Clothing is CE certified for construction, road and rail use. Similarly, the Technical Coveralls are CE certified for welding, arc flash, FR and anti-static standards. All trousers and coveralls offer the Cut-To-Fit® leg adjustment feature which saves distributor and end-user stock holding. We offer 3 types of hi-vis Safety Rucksacks: featuring Rip-ClipTM quick release system in hi-vis orange, one of which is Network rail approved. And finally a range of kitbags and holdalls suitable for use across a wide variety of industries, and a small selection of Tool Belts & Pouches.
