Overview

The Melba Swintex Hawk Tuff Trench Cover is the UK’s first blow-moulded trench cover, designed specifically for utility companies, highway contractors, and street works teams. Built from 100% virgin HDPE with internal high-strength steel reinforcement, this cover delivers exceptional durability and can withstand loads of over 400kg, making it perfect for protecting open footpath excavations.

Featuring anti-trip edges and a high-grip anti-slip surface, the Hawk Tuff Trench ensures pedestrian safety while maintaining full compliance with National Grid T/SP/E/42, HAUC Advice Note 2018/01, and BS 7976 Part 2 slip resistance standards.

It includes 4 fixing holes for secure bolt-down installation, and can be fitted with reflective bands for added night-time visibility. Designed for ease of use, it is a single-man lift thanks to integrated handles and its lightweight but robust construction.
