Melba Swintex Buddha Barrier

The Melba Swintex Buddha Barrier is a unique water-filled safety separator designed to maximise pedestrian protection and site safety. Standing at 0.8m high, this anti-trip barrier significantly reduces trip hazards compared to traditional water-filled units – making it ideal for street works, roadworks, and public footpath protection.

When fitted with the Melba DoubleTop, the Buddha Barrier creates a combined barrier system over 1.8m high, providing enhanced security for high-risk sites. The concave design allows for spoil placement when used around excavations, and two units can be faced together to cover exposed holes or manhole covers – an innovative feature that improves public safety.

The Buddha Barrier is manufactured from HDPE, is 100% recyclable, and holds 22 litres of water, reaching a filled weight of 27.2kg for excellent stability. The S-Clip linking system allows easy connection, while the dual-reflective panels ensure visibility from both sides.
